ABOUT THE CONCERT
The star of the world's opera stages - the voice that the world is talking about, tenor Jonathan Tetelman, for the first time in Bratislava on the stage of the Slovak National Theatre.
Bratislava will experience an extraordinary musical event. World-renowned tenor singer Jonathan Tetelman will perform on April 5, 2026 , in the Opera and Ballet Hall of the Slovak National Theatre.
Tetelman is one of the most distinctive tenors of his generation. Critics have described him as "a voice that combines fire and velvet" ( The Times ), comparing him to legends such as Pavarotti and Kaufmann. His performances on world stages in Milan, Berlin, Paris and New York have elicited standing ovations, and now his exceptional voice will be presented to Slovak audiences.
The Bratislava concert will feature arias and duets from operas by Georges Bizet, Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini, in which Tetelman stands out for his passion, dramatic intensity and charm. The SND Opera Orchestra, conducted by Valeri Galli, will also perform.
The evening's guests will be the soloists of the Slovak National Theatre Opera, Eva Hornyáková and Daniel Čapkovič , who will enrich the program with exceptional and rare moments of Slovak opera interpretation with their performance.
"The Slovak audience has an exceptional musical culture and sense of beauty. I am very excited to bring them the music that is my passion," says Jonathan Tetelman.
Tetelman's story is inspiring: he was born in Chile, adopted as a child and raised in New Jersey. After years in a rock band, he discovered the world of opera, which became his destiny. Today, he performs on the biggest stages, and his albums for Deutsche Grammophon – Arias and The Great Puccini – have received rave reviews from critics and fans around the world.
